The test track welcomes the partners from the European research project L3Pilot and the Technical University of Braunschweig as new users.
Together with the partners of the L3Pilot project, various use cases of automated driving will be tested in Hamburg. These include the "Urban Chauffeur" and "Motorway Chauffeur" applications, which will be tested directly on the TAVF or on freeways near the test track.
In addition, the Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechnik (NFF) of the Technical University of Braunschweig will be testing automated on-street parking on the TAVF from October 2020. The technical goal is to be able to handle short drives as well as the parking process itself along the TAVF without a driver.
